How Mindful Trails Limited Began

We’re not just another outdoor company. We started because we saw how disconnected Hong Kong’s urban professionals had become from nature. That realization sparked something.

2019
The Inspiration
Our founders noticed how stressed their friends and colleagues felt, trapped in offices with little access to natural spaces. They’d read about the benefits of nature-based mindfulness but couldn’t find structured, quality programs in Hong Kong. So they decided to create something different.
2020
Building Foundations
We spent a year exploring Hong Kong’s extensive trail network — over 50 major routes across mountains, coasts, and countryside. We didn’t rush. We mapped sensory hotspots, studied seasonal changes, and identified the most impactful routes for reflective practice.
2021
First Retreats
We launched our first guided retreats with a small group of 8 participants. The feedback was powerful. People weren’t just getting exercise — they were experiencing real shifts in stress levels, mental clarity, and connection. We knew we’d found something worth building.
